Today, all the new students had their tests in the morning to decide what classes they should be in. In the afternoon, these new arrivals went on an orientation tour of Market Harborough to find their way around. There was also a photograph competition for them to complete on the way round, to see who was the most creative group!
The remaining students went to LaserQuest this afternoon. This is an indoor arena, in the dark, with obstacles and neon lights all around. We were put into teams, and everyone is given a colour coded last body pack with a laser gun. As a team, we then had to go into the arena and attempt to score as many points as possible by hitting the opposition team with our laser guns!
In the evening we went to East Carlton Park nearby to play 'field games'. These include the 'Zoo Game' and 'Danish Longball'. In the zoo game, all the leaders become a different animal and are worth different points. They then escape from the zoo and have to run and hide somewhere in the park. Our job is to find them, capture them and return them to the zoo. The winner at the end is the team with the most points!
