On Saturday, students visited London! Our newer arrivals went sightseeing, catching a tour boat which passed under Tower Bridge and past the Shard on the Thames, then walking past sights such as Parliament, Buckingham Palace, the Ritz Hotel, and finally having free time in Trafalgar Square.
Another group of students went to Madame Tussauds to see the waxworks of celebrities, including the famous Star Wars exhibit, then got free time in Covent Garden! Yet another group headed to the London Eye and took in the sights of London from above!
On Sunday, some of us went to Alton Towers for thrill rides such as the Smiler, Nemesis and Glactica! It was also very hot so the log flumes were a refreshing blast!
The other students visited Oxford, where then got to walk around the town and see all the sights and famous colleges man their own punts, and then get free time to go shopping for gifts and mementos.
