Farewell video - Week 4

The farewell video for students that departed Brooke House Summer School on 30th &31st of July 2016.

Week 4 - Weekend

On Saturday, the majority of the students traveled to Cambridge, where they began with a sight-seeing tour, exploring the famous colleges of the university and learning about who graduated from them (including many Prime Ministers and Nobel Prize winners!), and then entered King's College to be taken aback by the grandiose architecture. 

Afterwards the students got free time to explore other hidden corners of the city. Some other students traveled to Ely today to visit Oliver Cromwell's house and the amazing cathedral. 

Thorpe Pack was the trip on the cards on Sunday! It was a fun packed and adrenaline filled day, with rides and attractions such Stealth, Saw - The Ride, and Tidal Wave, a massive log flume with made sure any students brave enough to go on it ended up soaking wet, but not enough to dampen our spirits! 

Week 4 day 5

We traveled to Leicester today and enjoyed some free time to see the sights, go shopping, and buy souvenirs for loved-ones back home. 

In the evening it was time for the famous Brooke House UV disco! The students put on the UV t-shirts they created yesterday and danced the night away glowing in the UV light to a live DJ!

Week 4 day 4

The students chose from a range of activities this afternoon, including basketball and badminton. 

Later on in the day the evening options included painting t-shirts with UV paint in preperation for tomorrow's UV disco (a firm favourite!) and taking part in a drama workshop lead by some of our activity leaders currently studying drama at university.
